While living among the tribe, gathering people for fellowship was effortless—everyone wanted to see white people in person. Many had never seen a foreigner before. As we traveled from house to house, we asked each family a simple yet important question: “What are the greatest needs of your tribe and family?” The overwhelming response was: “Education for our children.”

 

At that moment, it became clear how we could serve most effectively—by building a school! We purchased land, hired contractors, arranged building materials, and began construction. At the same time, ICMPTG prayed for God’s wisdom and vision, seeking ways to impact the entire community for His Kingdom. In the midst of bamboo shacks and rice fields, a brick building began to rise—one that soon became the center of attention: Victory Christian English School.

 

By late December 2014, five classrooms were completed, and admissions for the 2015 school year began. On January 12, 2015, 83 students started their first year of school in nursery, kindergarten, and first grade. Our vision is that within 10 years, we will have a fully functioning high school, a community center, and a Christian church. Construction and expansion continue as finances allow. Each year, we add more classrooms, enroll more students, hire more teachers, and send more ICMPTG volunteers.

By providing education in both the English language and the Word of Christ, we are giving these children a brighter future.

 

However, our most important mission is not just education—it is to bring the Bible and the teachings of Jesus to this community. We believe that knowing Jesus will not only change lives temporarily but eternally. Everyone deserves to live a guilt-free life filled with love, joy, and peace—a life found only in Jesus Christ.
